"As so many club members love CNY and because I can't think of any better excuses for a social for this time of year, that is going to be the theme of the day.

The plan for the evening is to go to Yuen Shan on London Road straight after training finishes on Wednesday [9th Feb next week] (and reach there ...between 7.45 and 8.00), for the weird and wonderful eating experience that is Hotpot (some of you may also know it as "Steamboat"). And after that, to someone's home for games of cards and Mahjong (this part will be held at my flat at Opal 2 if no-one else wants to do it).

For the meal, I will be putting up a sign-up sheet in the dojo within the next day or 2. It is extremely important that if you do think you want to go, then you either write your name on that sheet or you write a message on this facebook event page.

I HAVE to know roughly how many people want to go for the meal and I would like to know this by Tuesday 8th. There should be enough places reserved for everyone, but nevertheless, it's better to be safe than sorry. Also, Yuen Shan want a decent estimate of numbers beforehand.

Everyone from the club is welcome to come along to this event (this is not a student only thing), as are friends and family members etc. Just please remember to write your name, (or the name of your friend/relative) on here or on that dojo sheet.

This is the first club social of 2011 and it's a great opportunity for everyone in the club to get together again after that long break for Christmas and exams. So come along!

James Ang
University of Sheffield Captain
