Dear all,
Well done to all who took part in the world championships in Uxbridge last weekend. Great spirit and great performance from all, even though the medal tally didn't reflect it.
Scott and I are off to France on Tuesday for a week, but classes will carry on, thanks to Ian, Maggy and Caspar. The only cancellation is this coming Wednesday (24/08).
Of course we will come back for a truly exciting new academic year with some great events for all. Please put these dates in your diary!

Friday 23/09 - Sheffield Univ sports fair
Sat 24/09 (3pm onwards) Dojo party - seminar and demo open to all. FREE!
October
Sat-Sun 15-16/10 - London and Hove aikido Festival, Brighton, King Alfred sports centre.
Sat 29/10 (11-3) - Sheffield EIS, SAUK Closed event - seminar, demo, ref course and kongo dantai sen competition. (£10 unwaged and students, £15 otherwise)
November
Sat 12/11 - Kyogikan Aikido Marathon 7am - 9pm. Open to all. £15 whole day or £5 an hour.
Sat 26/11 - Edinburgh, SAUK Xmas seminar and dan grading. Open to all.
December
Sat 3/12 - Shodohai £5. Open to all, especially STUDENTS from Leeds, Nottingham, Sheffield and York.
