Sheffield City Aikido Club - October Newsletter


Dear members of the Steel City Aikido Club,
 
we have set up our timetable of events for the first term, read below! Highlights are our annual Aiki-Marathon event!

  • Sat 26/10 - opening of our Junior club!
  • Sat 2/11- 2-5pm - Women training session
  • Sat 9/11 AIKI-MARATHON
  • Wed 13/11 5-7pm Grading
  • Sat 16/11 11-1 "coach the coaches" - weapons (how to teach and what to teach beginners?)
  • Sat 16/11 2-5 weapons seminar.
  • Sat 23/11 Shodohai
  • Sat 7/12 national SAUK seminar, Nottingham
  • Tue 17/12 Grading
  • Wed 18/12 Xmas training 
  • Fri 20/12 term ends

Reminder about the change of timetable: as of 1st October the timetable has changed; the new timetable is below my signature. 

From tonight, Thursdays (6-7.30pm) are now the technical city session (the used to be on Friday 6.30-8pm) and the taught randori session will be on Fridays from 6-7pm, joint with the uni students. 

Students (who are members of the Hallam and Sheffield uni clubs) will start again on Tuesday 1st Oct 5-6.30pm and their Friday sessions will be 5-7pm (joint with city members from 6-7pm). Captains please note and advise your students; webmasters, please update the websites.

The Steel City Junior Aikido Club will have its first class for children from 8 years old and teenagers on Saturday 26/10!

Mondays 5-6pm -  (Hallam university class)
Mondays 6-7.30pm (randori)
Tuesdays 5-6.30pm (Sheffield university class)
Tuesdays 6.30-8pm (from beginners)
Wednesdays 8-9am (ALL - weapons from beginners) 
Wednesdays 4-5pm (JUNIORS) - NEW from 30/10! 
Wednesdays 5-7pm (circuit and embu)
Thursdays 6-7.30pm (from beginners) - NEW!
Fridays 5-7pm (university class)
Fridays 6-7pm (ALL - taught randori) - NEW!
Saturdays 10-11.15am (JUNIORS) - NEW from 26/10! 
Saturdays 11.30-1pm (high grades)
