Kangeiko 2015 - Steel City Shodokan Aikido Club

Hello all,

If you don't know me already, I'm James and from now on - until at least the next club AGM anyway -  I'm going to be sharing e-mailing duties with Celine for the Steel City Shodokan Aikido Club! Yay!(?)

Moving on.......the annual club Kangeiko event is just around the corner now and the 2015 edition will be running from the Sunday 15 - Saturday 21 February, finishing off with the usual Kangeiko after-party at Burton Street. Running annually for nearly 9 years now, there is once again over 35 hours of training available during the week-long period across mornings, lunchtimes and evenings and everybody is welcome to take part! I have attached the full training timetable at the bottom of this e-mail for your convenience.

During this period, you are welcome to attend whatever sessions you want/ can make, BUT, should you complete 24 hours or more of training AND all the 5 morning sessions, you will win yourself a copy of the famous kangeiko mug! The cost is only £25 for the week of training and an absolute bargain £15 for concessions. All proceeds will be going towards the next dojo project which in this instance will be a minibus for transportation to future club events. 

There is also a grading the first Tuesday after Kangeiko. For anyone thinking about their next grade, completing the Kangeiko challenge will put you in an excellent position to successfully take part in this.
