Next Club Event - Koshiyama Cup 2-3 May 2015

Dear Sheffield aikidoka,

only 5 weeks until the great event that is the Koshiyama Cup!

This European aikido competition and seminar is held in Geneva this year on Saturday 2nd and  Sunday 3rd May; it is typically held every 3 to 4 years. It's an open competition so everyone can enter.

Our world technical director Nariyama Shihan (9th dan) will be leading the seminar on the Sunday, with the competition being held on the Saturday. Oh and I will hopefully be taking my 4th dan there...

A team of us are going, and I don't want anyone else to be missing out. The entry deadline is this Saturday so if you want to take part, please get in touch now!!!

I've copied logistical details (flight, accommodation, tourism etc) below:

I have just booked my accommodation in the Formula 1 hotel in Ferney Voltaire: £75 for 2 people for 3 nights. The price for the 3 beds is the same, so less than £10 per night. By the way guys, it's not the Hilton, so don't go expecting room service at that price!!!

Flights:

Use skyscanner website to find the cheapest flights from the UK:

This time round, my return ticket with Easyjet from Manchester cost me under £65 all inclusive (Friday morning am return on Wednesday, but you can can return on Monday cheaply too).

If you want to have a look yourself: have a look at the webpage of the historic town of Ferney Voltaire:http://www.ferney-voltaire.net/en.html
