AikidoMarathon - get involved!

Dear members of the Steel City Aikido Club,

The Steel City Aikido Club is hosting its 9th annual AikidoMarathon this Saturday. As per usual, we will be starting 7am, finishing 9pm with 5 minute breaks every hour. Many a jaffa cake will be eaten to sustain us through the day!

Maybe you guys would like to join us in our crazy endeavour?

As per usual, we are raising funds for a charity; this year, we are supporting the Burton Street Foundation, where our senior instructor Scott works as the gym manager. He has recently started redeveloping the sensory garden; after successfully completing the music corner and building an arbour, Scott is hoping to raise £500 to buy scented climbing plants for the arbour, as well as herbs for the herb corner and fruit trees for the mini orchard.

Could I please ask you to encourage your friends and family to donate (details attached)? You can also find more info about the Burton Street Foundation on their website:  <www.burtonstreet.co.uk>

We will make the entry cheaper for anyone who has managed to raise at least £5 for the sensory garden.

At the same time, all mat fees will go towards the dojo's current project: the dojo minibus so that we can take more members to aikido events around the country!

We will be heading for food after concluding our 14 hours to a Turkish restaurant nearby, feel free to join us, and hope to see you guys this weekend!
