Hi guys,
Just 2 weeks until the aikido marathon, which is always an exciting prospect! This year, we decided to change it slightly to make it even more exciting!
We are turning this Olympian endeavour into a fundraising opportunity. After all, not everybody gets to train this amount in one day! It means that we can both improve our aikido skills massively and contribute to a local charity. The local charity we are raising funds for is The Children's Hospital:
I've created a page on justgiving:
Prices:
for the whole 14 hours:
Students: £20 (15 if you raise £5)
City: £25 (20 if you raise £5)
Suggested amount to be raised: £14, ie £1 per hour that you'll be training. Of course the sky's the limit ;-)
Coaches: £15 (10 if you raise £5)
for 2h: £10 (£5 if you raise £5);
for 3h: £15 (10 if you raise £5),
for 4h: £20 (15 if you raise £5), whether you are a student or a City member.
So really, if you train for 4 hours, you might as well train for the whole day!
Finally, please promote the event to your clubs and get your members attending! We have set this event as a Give It a Go, so encourage your beginners as well as your higher grades.
Also, a reminder that now that we have just started a new academic year, all weekday classes are now open to beginners.
So, see you on the mat very soon!
Celine
