KANGEIKO starts this Sunday 12pm

Dear aikidoka,

this Sunday marks the start of our annual winter 24/7 challenge, aka Kangeiko! We have another 35 hours of training on offer (timetable attached).

Remember, the challenge is to complete 24 hours of training over the 7 days, including all the morning sessions. Your hard work and dedication will be rewarded!

This year is even crazier than ever, as Kangeiko coincides with Shrove Tuesday / Carnival and Valentine, ohhh!

So for romantic people out there, we have devised a crazy scheme! Take your Valentine at the Thursday evening session (14/02, 6pm) for FREE and we will teach them a few aikido tricks, including how to throw you!!! They will get a prize at the end of the session. BUT you need to book this with me so that I have an idea of how many prizes to get...So I'll be issueing tickets. For those of you without a valentine, bring a close friend or family member!

Students, this is a give it a go event where we recruit beginners, so please facebook / tweet / get your friends to take part.

All proceeds from the fees will go towards our "Heater fund," as our next project for the dojo is to have a heating system installed. All donations from friends and family welcome!!!

Costs: a steal at £15 for students and £20 for City members for the whole week!!!

Saturday night celebration: as usual we will meet at Burton Street (same location as Saturday sports challenge) to cook and eat and be merry together! So cooks, get your shopping lists ready so that we can do the shopping. The party will cost £7 per person, tickets will also be available in advance.
