Christmas Party Event - Wednesday 10th December, Xmas training - Friday 12th December

Dear member of the Steel City Shodokan Aikido Club, Alumni members and friends of the dojo,

First of all, hip hip hurray to our 4 latest gradees who very successfully graded at the national grading on Saturday in London: 

Joe Price and Chu Hai Wong graded to 2dan, while Caspar Chater and Sam Coveney graded to 3dan; all 4 passed with flying colours, with the top distinction of 2 stars!!!

We will be celebrating their success, as well as the end of another amazing year this Wednesday (10/12) 8pm at Maggy's house (9 Northern Avenue, Sheffield S2 2JA, 2 minutes' walk from Spring Lane tram stop, which is about 15 minutes on the blue line from West Street. Any problems with directions, please ask Maggy) 

Foodwise, please advise James what you want to do about food by tonight Monday 8th Dec. It's either bring your own food to share, or let James know what you want from one of 3 different places so he can order for you:

Also, our crazy Xmas training is set for this Friday 12th December (5 to 7pm), open to all. Come prepared for crazy races, santa hats-linked forfeits and all sorts of shenanigans! I know the Uni club are also organising an outing afterwards, so please contact Michelle for details! 

 

Finally, we will be celebrating the dojo's acquisition of our heating system on Saturday 17th January 2015. We will kick off the event at 2pm. I can already warn you that the theme for this "dojo warming party"is "turning the heat up," so expect tropical conditions in the dojo in the middle of winter!!!

 

Training fees: £7 concessions, £10 standard, FREE for the generous donors who helped us reach our fundraising targets and purchase the Ambirad heating system, we've tested it and the dojo's never felt this balmy at this time of year! The fees will go towards our next fundraising project, which is...the dojo minibus. But more on that later!
