Hello everybody,
Spring in the dojo is a time of preparation for the Student Nationals and with Sheffield hosting the competition this year too, things are even more serious. There are a host of extra events this month that are aimed at giving everyone - both competitors and referees - the practice opportunities to do their very best at the competition. If you are not a competitor or referee, please consider turning up for the event anyway to help it run along. There are numerous tasks that need doing throughout the weekend and the event cannot run without this extra support.
The other big news of the month is that the dojo is currently involved in a professional-level filming project to promote aikido within Sheffield and the rest of the UK. Because of this, we would like as many dojo members as possible (including students) to make themselves available for the 18.30-20.00 session on Tuesday 14th March. Thank you in advance for your support at both events!
Finally, WSAF are hosting their first World Championships tournament this August in London. Please look at the attached documents for more information. Please note that SAUK members interested in competing at the competition have to go through the national squad route of training and selection.
