Hello everybody,
First of all, tomorrow's class (Friday 07/04/2017) has officially been cancelled by Scott due to other commitments. If you still want to train, speak to one of the other holders of the dojo keys about running a private session.
And upcoming events:
April
Saturday 29th - National Squad, 12.00-16.00, York
May
Saturday 6th - SAUK Club Event, Sheffield
Wednesday 10th - AGM, 19.30-onwards, Red Deer Pub
Tuesday 16th - Grading, 18.30-20.00
Saturday 27th - National Squad, 12.00-16.00, Location TBC
June
Sunday 11th - British Open Competition, Sheffield
August
Thursday 17th - Pre-World Championships SAF Seminar, Kidbrooke, London
Friday 18th-Sunday 20th - WSAF World Championships, London
Please note:
- All events are in the dojo unless otherwise stated and details are subject to change.
- The grading originally scheduled for April has been moved to May.
- The SAUK Club Event replaces the old SAUK Club Competition. The format is now a seminar and friendly competition
- The full details for the British Open are yet to be confirmed but it is likely to be at the EIS in Sheffield.
- The SAF (Shodokan Aikido Federation) seminar on Thursday 17th August will see some of the biggest names in shodokan aikido running a seminar in London. The list of people scheduled to run sessions during the day will include Tetsuro Nariyama (Shihan), Ryuichi Omori, Shinnosuke Sakai and Sekio Endo. If you are interested, please start seriously thinking about this now as you will probably have to sort accomodation in/near London for the night before to make it for the start of the seminar. I've heard August is a rather busy time for hotels/hostels...
- As a reminder, if you are interested in taking part in the WSAF World Championships as a competitor, you have to go down the national squad route of training and selection. If you cannot make it as a competitor, you are still welcome (and encouraged) to attend as a spectator. Once again, if you are thinking of attending (in whatever format), please start seriously thinking about it now
