Shodokan Aikido Monthly Events Update - 13/08/17

Good Afternoon,

The highlighted events -  Friday 18th - Sunday 20th - WSAF World Championships, London

 Just a small reminder for anybody who wishes to attend the world championships to spectate.

The highlighted events - Saturday 23^rd September 2017 – Sheffield Steel City Movie showing

This will be the premiere of the Dojo movie that was made by the members of the Steel City Dojo for the advertisement of Aikido. This event will include the showing as well as food and socialising afterwards.

Venue: Burton Street Foundation

Approx start time: 5pm

Please note:

·  Event details are subject to change.

·  The SAF (Shodokan Aikido Federation) seminar on Thursday 17th August will see some of the biggest names in shodokan aikido running a seminar in London. The list of people scheduled to run sessions during the day will include Tetsuro Nariyama (Shihan), Ryuichi Omori, Shinnosuke Sakai and Sekio Endo. 

• Agenda for the day are as follows
  •  8:00: Senior grading for Yondan level and above
  • 10:00 – 11:00: Sakai Shinnosuke Sensei
  • 11:00-12:30: Nariyama Tetsuro shihan
  • Lunch Break
  • 13:15 – 14:20: Omori Ryuichi Sensei
  • 14:25-15:30: Endo Sekio Sensei
  • End

·  As a reminder, if you are interested in taking part in the WSAF World Championships as a competitor, you have to go down the national squad route of training and selection. If you cannot make it as a competitor, you are still welcome (and encouraged) to attend as a spectator. 

·  There will be no Friday sessions at the Sheffield Dojo from the 14^th July 2017 until the universities (Sheffield Hallam Unversity & Sheffield University) Fresher week in September.
