Dear all,
in 3 week's time, on Saturday 31st August and Sunday 1st September, our world technical director Nariyama Shihan, 9th dan, will be coming, not only to the UK, but to Yorkshire!
He doesn't visit the UK that often and I would encourage you all to go and train with him.
Sam Coveney (cc) is coordinating the trip to Leeds for members of the Sheffield dojo; please contact him to organise payment and help event host Justin Gallagher.

BAB National Course - Saturday 21st September
our senior instructor Scott Allbright has been invited to run a course as part of our national organisation British Aikido Board (BAB) annual seminar. I doubt BAB members will have seen many instructors of Shodokan aikido and Scott would like to have many members of his dojo attending so that we can best showcase the system Tomiki sensei set up. The other instructors are from traditional aikido, ki society and Yoshinkan, so I can guarantee that you will practise different exercises from what you are used to!
Give me a shout if you are coming. If you are planning to travel by car and have spare seats, please let me know so I can coordinate.

Next Grading: Tuesday 24th September 6.30-8pm. From now on, I require all grading books prior to gradings (students as well). So tell me if you want to grade the week before and don't forget to bring your grading books.

2nd kyu and above: next coaching course: Saturday 28th September 11am -1.30pm - focusing on the 5th kyu syllabus ahead of the new students starting the following week. You can't coach if you don't attend coaching courses!
3rd kyu and below: extra training: Saturday 28th September 2-4pm £5. Come and train while helping our trainee coaches develop their coaching skills.
