Hello everybody,
I would like to invite you to the club's Annual General Meeting (AGM) this Wednesday (4th) at 19.30 at the Red Deer Pub. This is an open meeting for all club members to come along and discuss how the club has been run in the last year, and where we will be heading in the next one. Of course, this is also where we sort out next year's committee roles too.
With regards to the committee positions, getting a wide range of people to help with committee work is critically important if the club is to run effectively and efficiently. There is a lot of work that needs doing behind-the-scenes and things can only happen when we have a group of people willing to help out. If you feel you have some time to help out over the next year, your time and effort would be greatly appreciated. Most work requires only the occasional effort and other people on the committee are there to help if you need some time away.

If you are new to this and feel like you can help out, please have a look at the committee roles sheet attached with this e-mail and see which one is best suited for you. Apart from "Chairman", if you want a particular role, then you will probably get it as roles are rarely contested.
But whether you want a committee role or not, I would encourage all club members to turn up if possible. Everybody has thoughts and ideas and some of these may well help the club in the future. Plus, I hear there's free food.
I look forward to hopefully seeing you there on Wednesday. Any questions etc, feel free to ask.
James
