Omori-sensei seminar registration

Dear members of Shodokan Aikido Sheffield Club,

We are privileged to announce a national weekend seminar on Saturday and Sunday, 17th/18th September, with Ryuichi Omori sensei, 7th dan SAF, JAA.
Omori sensei graduated from Kokushikan University as student champion and captain of the university club. He then studied aikido for another 4 years at hombu dojo with Nariyama sensei. He lives in Tokyo with his family, where he runs the Musashino shodokan aikido club. Omori sensei is also head of the referee division of the SAF.
To see him in action, he was one of the main subjects of a TV documentary on aikido produced a few years ago(from3mn12): Aikido, The Samurai Spirit

The seminar will be held in the Sports Hall of Sheffield Hallam University Pearson Building, Broomgrove Rd, Sheffield, S10 2BP. This is part of Sheffield Hallam Active (on google map: https://goo.gl/maps/SX2UjskZ7jv). The venue is not linked by tram (sadly), but there are plenty of buses to Eccleshall road nearby. Check out http://walkit.com/cities/sheffield/  and http://tsy.yorkshiretravel.net/journeyplanner/enterJourneyPlan.do for buses.

Registration for the event will start at 10am sharp on Saturday.
Fees for the seminars are:
  • £15 student / £20 employed including a Japanese bento lunch box for one day.
  • £20 student / £30 employed including a Japanese bento lunch box for both days.
  • Without lunch deduct £5 from the fee.

On Saturday evening we will be going for a dinner buffet in the City centre.
