Here are club, national and international events for the rest of 2010. Student captains / secretaries, please promote within your clubs! -----   Aikido Marathon - Saturday 23rd October, Kyogikan dojo, Sheffield. 7am start, 9pm finish - 14 hours in one day! 20 for the whole day or 2 per hour student price: 14 or 1.5 per hour OPEN TO ALL LEVELS We'll then head on to the Noodle inn on London road for some filling dinner.   SAUK national squad entry fitness test - Saturday 31st October, Kyogikan dojo, Sheffield. 11am start - 3pm finish by recommendation only CITY grading Tuesday 2nd November, Kyogikan dojo, Sheffield. 8-9.30pm   Shodohai Saturday 6th November, Kyogikan dojo, Sheffield. 2pm start - 4pm finish OPEN TO ALL LEVELS We'll then head off to our allotment in Heeley (S2 3NP) for a bonfire and homegrown homemade pumpkin soup.   Student grading and social - Wednesday 10th November, Kyogikan dojo, Sheffield.    Kyogikan challenge - Saturday 13th November, EIS Sheffield  A first time event organised by Scott gathering the best players in the country. Competitors by invitation only. Free entry for spectators - come and support Sheffield players! SAUK national squad - Saturday 27th November, Kyogikan dojo, Sheffield.  11am start - 3pm finish by recommendation only Xmas "Santa hat" training - Thursday 9th December, Kyogikan dojo, Sheffield.    Shodokan Aikido UK national Xmas Social - Saturday 11th December,  Sheffield Brewery  We'll host a social the night before the national seminar (see below) at the Sheffield Brewery in Neeps End: 20 for brewery tour, free ales, meat and potato pie (vegetarian quiche). Bring your own possible. 7-10pm, followed by drinks in real ale pubs.   Shodokan Aikido UK national Xmas national seminar and grading - Sunday 12th December, Octagon centre, University of Sheffield This year, we are hosting the national Xmas seminar, led by shidosha Phil Newcombe, 7th dan. Quality instruction! 12 noon start - 5pm finish OPEN TO ALL Shiai seminar - Sat18/Sun19 December, Antwerp, Belgium Led by 2005 world championship shiai gold medallist Tim Wolput Please note that squad training originally planned for 18th December is therefore cancelled.  OPEN TO ALL Come and get involved!   Celine
