Sheffield aikido Newsletter; Youtube vids, timetable; women-only training; social; Kangeiko!

Dear all,

our "Youtube officer" big Joe has created  a Kyogikan channel on which he has uploaded the demo videos by Scott on the occasion of the 20th anniversary celebration party last September. Here are the links:

Apparently, videos with the most views (therefore the most popular ones) are shown first in the search results.  So if we share them, the more people will see them and the more people will be able to find them!

---
Timetable:

we will be back on the term timetable from Monday 6/02 (next week), with Tuesday city session back at 8pm. Apart from that, we still train every weekday and Saturday!

---
Women-only training:
You will have noticed that we are totally promoting women in aikido at the moment! Maggy's leading the beginner course which started on Sunday with a 30mn run and they are busy doing circuit training as we speak. They will have 2 more sessions with emphasis on breakfalls and finally techniques for the last episode. Well-done ladies!
We are also running the intermediate women course this Saturday from 2 till 4.30pm, also starting with a run, some circuit training, lots of uchikomi and throwing the boys. I now have my 5 male volunteers, interesting how they were so keen to get chucked by the girls;-) I still have a couple of spaces for the lasses, so get in touch!

We will then go for dinner on London Road following drinks. So if you want to join us, meet us around 5pm at the Dev Cat.

---
And of course a reminder about our much-loved Kangeiko! We'll start on Sunday 12th Feb 12noon and after 34 hours of training, will finish Saturday 18th Feb 5pm before heading off for a well-deserved international cook together feat. It's the 24/7 challenge so rack up your 24 hours over the whole week, without forgetting the weekday morning sessions to claim the much-sought after T shirt!

See you on the mats soon!

Celine
